Trial Date Set For Only DeWitt Chili's Suspect Not To Take Plea Deal

Syracuse, N.Y. - The only trial in connection to the double murder at the DeWitt Chili's will begin later this month.

48-year-old Ronald Green is the only suspect to not take a plea deal. His trial begins July 15th.

Green is accused of being the get-away-driver for the admitted killer, William Wood Jr. Court Documents show that Green told officers that he was held at gunpoint and intimidated by Wood once he learned of the robbery plot and tried to turn around. His lawyers say that he often gave rides-for-cash to another woman who provided Wood the gun he used in the murder.

Prosecutors say that he was motivated because he was going to get a cut of what was taken.
