Syracuse, N.Y. - The state DOT is holding its second neighborhood meeting in as many nights about the future of 81.
At last night's meeting at Henniger High School, those who agree with the DOT about supporting the Community Grid option to replace the highway were in the majority.
That plan calls for demolishing the highway in Syracuse and replacing it with streets. The new plan would preserve the highway north and south of downtown. 481 would become the new 81 interstate.
Tonight's meeting is set from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Fowler High School.
