DeWitt, N.Y. - The foreclosure process is likely set to begin for ShoppingTown Mall.
The owners of the DeWitt shopping center missed yesterday's deadline to pay back $9.7 million in back taxes it owed to Onondaga County. Moonbeam LLC, which owns the mall, was given an extra month to repay its debt.
They did file a letter yesterday with a State Appellate Court judge asking for a lesser payment but there's no word if a ruling was issued.
