Syracuse, N.Y. - The mayor and police chief are expected to release the results of an internal investigation into an arrest video that went viral.
The department says 23-year-old Shaolin Moore was recently pulled over for playing loud music in his vehicle. When police asked him to get out of the car, he refused, so officers used force to remove him and get him in custody.
Video of the incident quickly spread online and had some wondering if the officers involved went too far. It reignited a debate over the Department's Use of Force policy. Critics say that it is vague and outdated.
The incident did prompt an update to the policy. You can view the new and old polices and other documents here.
