Albany, N.Y. - State lawmakers are considering a bill that would broadly legalize sex work across New York.
Together with the advocacy group known as "DecrimNY," legislators have crafted a 13-page bill that would make it legal to buy and sell sex under certain circumstances.
Supporters say nine-out-of-ten arrests made are at massage parlors -- and those arrested are often illegal immigrant women from Asia.
As of now, Nevada is the only U.S. state to allow legal prostitution, which is permitted in some counties.
