Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Fire officials are remaining quiet about two people rushed to the hospital from a fire Monday.
The pair were found by firefighters unresponsive inside a house fire near the Syracuse University neighborhood.
At one point two officers became trapped battling the blaze and and needed rescuing themselves. They were not hurt.
Three others that were home at the time were able to get themselves out. Two dogs did die.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
