Installation Plans Announced For New Syracuse Bishop

Syracuse, N.Y. - The installation plans have been announced for the next leader of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse.

Earlier this week, Pope Francis appointed Bishop-elect Douglas John Lucia to lead the region's 22,000 Catholics. An installation Mass will be held on August 8th at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Tickets will be required, but the diocese hasn't said when they'll be available.

Lucia will replace the retiring Robert Cunningham when he becomes the diocese's 11th Bishop.
