Syracuse, N.Y. - The State DOT is holding a meeting next month to discuss the options still on the table for the 81 project.
The open house will be June 18th at the OnCenter from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Officials will be available for the first three hours to answer questions. Beginning at 6 p.m. tere will be a brief presentation followed by a 90 minute question and answer session. In addition to a presentation, there will also be new drawings of proposed construction plans for residents to get a look at. Officials will also share when smaller neighborhood meetings will be held around the City of Syracuse and suburbs.
In April, the State DOT released a report recommending a revamped community grid option to replace the viaduct downtown with street level roads, preserve the highway north and south of downtown, and redirect the interstate to 481.
