Syracuse Police Employee Arrested

Syracuse, N.Y. - A man who is a civilian employee with the Syracuse police department has been arrested.

Brett Forkhamer is accused of forcible touching and several other charges after his ex girlfriend filed a complaint.

The woman accused him of repeatedly handcuffing, then committing sexual acts against her, including slapping her and touching her.

He also pretended to be a police officer.

He has resigned from his position and the case has been turned over to the DA's office.

Syracuse Police are continuing to investigate.
