National Weather Service Warns Of Shoreline Flooding On Lake Ontario

Those living along the Lake Ontario shoreline are bracing for flooding.

Meteorologist warn that the high wind and water levels could be a bad combination tonight and tomorrow for those living along the shoreline.

National Weather Service issued a Lakeshore Flood Waring for Jefferson County that will take effect at 2:00 p.m. A warning or those living along Lake Ontario in Wayne, Cayuga, and Oswego Counties, is being pushed back to 5:00 p.m.

Officials expect the flooding to be concentrated in bays, inlets, and other low lying areas near the shoreline. There is also concerned about erosion along the shore.

The warning is set to expire tomorrow.
