Syracuse Firefighters Escape Collapsing Northside Fire

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Fire Crews remain on the scene after dousing of a massive fire on the Northside overnight.

Syracuse Fire Chief Michael Monds says the fire was coming out of the windows on the first and second floor of Gertrude Street home when they arrived around 2:45 a.m. Firefighters were called out of the building as part of the second story began to collapse. It was around that time the ten people living inside the home had been safely accounted for. 

There are no reports of injuries. 

The investigation into the cause of the fire will begin later this morning.
