Man Who Scammed People Out Of Money For A Girl With Cancer, Pleads Guilty

Syracuse, N.Y. - A man who scamed local people out of cash thinking it was going to a little girl with cancer pleaded guilty today.

Earl Woodridge pleaded guilty to scheme to defraud.

Two others involved, Roger and Nicole Dunn, pleaded guilty in March.

Police say the three pretended to be relatives of Kaylee Marshfield, a girl battling cancer, and they collected hundreds of dollars in donations.

Woodridge is facing six months in jail and five years probation.
