Syracuse Officer Involved In Car Accident Responding To A Call

Syracuse, N.Y. - Four people, including a Syracuse police officer, were injured last night the officer slammed into a car on South Salina Street.

The police car, operated by Officer N. Hilts, had his lights and siren on heading to a fire. Another vehicle, a KIA driven by a 67 year old with two passengers entered the intersection and was struck by Hilts, the KIA overturned.

Both the officer and the KIA driver were treated for minor injuries as were the two passengers.

The incident is still under investigation.
