Its Back In The Water At Sylvan Beach This Summer...Hopefully

Sylvan Beach, N.Y. - Sylvan Beach says this summer you will be able to swim on the village owned beach.

The 125-foot area of shoreline on the eastern end of Oneida Lake will reopen after village officials banned swimming last summer. The village learned it was going to be required to patrol 4,800 feet of beach area and that that was too costly.

Mayor Greg Horan believes everything has been worked out with the County and is waiting on paperwork.

The big concern now is, they need lifeguards in order to open for Memorial Day.
