Syracuse, N.Y. - Sen. Chuck Schumer was in Syracuse today announcing a new legislation that would go after scam callers.
This comes after many received unusual calls from strange numbers last week.
Schumer's Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence Act, or TRACED, would give the Feds more tools and authority to trace, prosecute, and enforce fines on robocall scammers.
Those calls in Schumer's words are "not just a nuisance, they are often the fly paper that traps unwitting consumers in nasty rip offs,"
