Opening Statements Begin For Man Accused Of Killing Family In Fire

Syracuse, N.Y. - The trial for the man accused of killing four members of his family more than one-year-ago is nearly underway.

15 jurors will hear opening statements Wednesday morning in the trial of Charlie DuBois. They consist of 12 jurors and three alternates.

DuBois accused of setting his family’s Fitch Street home on fire in April of 2018. The fire killed his mother, brother, sister and one-year-old nephew.

He is charged with first and second degree murder and arson. He faces life in prison without parole if he's convicted on the top murder count.
