State Comptroller Issues New Report Criticizing State Budget Process

Albany, N.Y. - A new report from state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli is criticizing how lawmakers handled the recent state budget process.

DiNapoli says the negotiations on the $175 billion budget lacked transparency. He also says legislators didn't have much time to review the bills before they voted.

DiNapoli also says the governor and lawmakers passed the budget with little information about its overall financial impact.
