Syracuse, N.Y. - Two people are now dead when a tractor trailer hit them while standing outside their vehicle on the Thruway early Wednesday morning.
State police say Grace Wilson and James Bowen had exited their vehicle on the Thruway westbound near Chittenango around 1am and stood in the middle of the road. A tractor trailer in the passing lane hit Wilson and Bowen.
They were taken to Upstate University Hospital, where Wilson was pronounced dead. Bowen was in critical condition until he died earlier today.
Troopers say they have not issued any tickets as yet, and they continue to investigate.
