Oswego, N.Y. - Many are upset about the recent closing of several Friendly's restaurants, but the Mayor of Oswego Billy Barlow, is looking to at leasts help those employees who lost their jobs.
In a tweet today Barlow said:
I’m making a direct job offer to the employees of the Oswego Friendly’s facing unemployment due to the sudden closure. We have temporary positions at the DPW from May to Sept. This gives the employees an opportunity to earn a paycheck while they look for new, long term employment......
The offer is in effect for two weeks and applicants need to show proof they worked for the Oswego Friendly's.
