A months-long child abuse investigation ends with the arrests of an Oswego County couple.
State police were notified last October by the Oswego County School District about a possible case of child abuse against a 4-year-old. The investigation led to police accusing Sarah Diamond and Devon Buckner of Mexico with causing physical injury and ongoing maltreatment to the child. Troopers say the couple withheld food from the child, resulting in severe starvation. The child is now in foster care. Diamond and Buckner are charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. They're in the Oswego County Jail on 5 thousand dollars bond.
