State Lawmakers Pass Gun Storage Bill

Albany, N.Y. - Legislation is headed to Governor Andrew Cuomo's desk that would toughen gun policies.

Lawmakers in Albany passed a bill Monday that would require people with children under 16-years-old to put weapons in storage units. These containers need to include a lock. People who don't follow the measure could face misdemeanor charges and a $1,000 fine.

Governor Cuomo is expected to sign the legislation.
