William Wood Pleads Guilty

Syracuse, N.Y. - The man accused of killing two former co-workers inside the Chili's restaurant in DeWitt was in court today.

William Wood pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

He will face life in prison without the possibility of parole

Onondaga County DA Bill Fitzpatrick says he's handing over jurisdiction to the Feds. That means that any sentence that is given County Court will run at the end of any federal sentence.

Federal prosecutors are considering a Death Penalty case against Woods .

He tried to plead guilty in his last court appearance to state murder charges but wasn't allowed so the Feds could continue considering the case. Prosecutors accepted that that plea today.

Sentencing will be held on April 15.
