Syracuse, N.Y. - The AMAZON deal, touted by Governor Andrew Cuomo seems to be going sour in New York City.
Senator Bob Antonacci thinks he has a solution, move the headquarters to Central New York. Antonacci has sent Jeff Bezos a letter offering to work with him and discuss possible ways to make the move to Central New York happen. In the letter he stated...
"With the issues arising from the controversy, perhaps we can talk about locating your new headquarters perfectly between Rochester and Syracuse, New York allowing you to draw from both cities and access to the world class colleges and universities in our area. In addition, our region has an abundance of natural resources the envy of many communities along with a low cost of living and operations, sustainable development, and open airspace for drones to test package delivery "
Antonacci said he can't believe how bad New York City politicians are treating a company that is willing to bring 25,000 jobs to New York State.
Antonacci has the backing of several other legislators, such as, Assemblyman Will Barclay (R-C-I-Ref, Pulaski), Assemblyman Gary Finch (R-C-I, Springport), Senator Pam Helming (R-C-I, Canandaigua), Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua), Senator Rich Funke (R-C-I, Fairport) and Assemblyman Brian Manktelow (R-I-C-Ref, Lyons).
