Syracuse Man Arraigned After Brazen Denny’s Shooting

Salina, N.Y. - A Syracuse man has been arranged after a brazen shooting at the Salina Denny’s Sunday Morning.

Deputies say 24-year-old Justus Holmes walked into the restaurant with a handgun and shot a man before turning the gun on another group of patrons. Deputies say the shooting stemmed from an argument that Holmes had gotten into with his girlfriend who was at the restaurant with friends.

Four people were hurt. Three were taken to the hospital. All are expected to be OK.

Holmes has been arraigned on attempted murder in the 2nd degree, assault in the 1st degree, assault in the 2nd degree, menacing in the 2nd degree, and criminal use of a firearm in the 1st degree.
