Leroy, N.Y. - All lanes of the New York State Thruway are back open following a 21-vehicle crash southwest of Rochester.
The accident happened yesterday between Exit 47 and Exit 48 on the highway in Leroy. Officials say tractor trailers were involved in the incident, and a state trooper was also injured.
Major Accident on Thruway Causing Closures
In a statement, Governor Cuomo said tractor trailers shouldn't have been on the road due to restrictions that were in place.
Violators are subject to a 450-dollar fine, points on their license and possible criminal charges.
