Democrats In Albany Poised To Pass Sweeping New Gun Control Laws

Albany, N.Y. - Sweeping new gun control bills are expected to pass in Albany this week.

One bill would extend the waiting period for gun purchases when background checks after three days are inconclusive.

Another would allow school officials, police or family members to seek a court order to remove guns from people considered dangerous.

A third bill would prohibit local school districts from allowing teachers to be armed.

Other bills would ban possession or sale of bump stocks and guns made with 3D printers.
