West Genny School Board Approves Superintendent Resignation Deal

Camillus, N.Y. - The West Genesee School Board has unanimously approved a deal to part ways with their school Superintendent accused of having an affair with a school district employee.

Dr. Chris Brown will be given $120,000 and will still be given health insurance in exchange for his resignation. Brown and the board also agreed to not speak negatively of each other.

Brown's contract was supposed to run until June of 2020. That contract gave him an annual salary of more than $265,000, a district-provided car, health insurance, and other benefits.

District officials say that the investigation into the social media allegations leveled by Brown's wife has cost the district about $20,000. Those posts accused brown of having a relationship with a principal at the district. The Principal has neem placed on administrative leave.

OCM BOCES Superintendent Jody Manning will be servings as an unpaid Interim-Superintendent until Brown's permanent replacement is found.
