Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Firefighters are battling a blaze right now on the southside.
The fire sparked just before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Primrose Ave near Midland.
Syracuse Fire Chief Michael Monds says that firefighters did go into the home to confirm that nobody was inside. Firefighters were called out of the house after part of the roof in the back of the home collapsed.
Crews are continuing to douse hoptspots and will be on the scene through the morning. Fire Investigators will start their investigation later today.
