New York, N.Y. - It's been made official Bob Costas is leaving NBC after 40 years.
The Syracuse University alumnus revealed today that his contract with the network has been settled in his words "quietly and happily for all concerned”.
66-year-old Costas will continue to be on the MLB Network.
He’s also exploring a new sports/news interview-style show.
Another SU Alum, Mike Tirico, pretty much has filled the void of Costas at NBC over the past year.
Costas worked his 11th Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, but Tirico took over the PyeongChang Games and Super Bowl last year.
