Syracuse, N.Y. - A deal to clear some of the snow from the sidewalks in the City of Syracuse has fallen through.
The North Syracuse company that had agreed to clear about 40 miles of sidewalks this winter has backed out. In a Facebook post, the company announced that they couldn't come to an agreement. They had apparently gotten stuck on liability for sidewalk damage.
City Officials say they are not giving up on the Pilot Program. They say they are continuing talks with another provider and hope get the program off the ground this winter.
