Mattydale, N.Y. - State Police in North Syracuse have arrested 23 year old Richard J. Smith, of Mattydale, for Rape 1st degree (class “B” felony), Criminal Sex Act 1st degree (class “B” felony) and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (class “A” misdemeanor).
Smith is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a 20-year-old female by force on several occasions at a residence in Mattydale.
Smith was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center to await arraignment.
