Albany, N.Y. - Lawmakers return Wednesday to Albany with Democrats controlling both State Houses and Governor Cuomo looking to take action on the most progressive agenda in state history.
In November Democrats were voted control of the State Senate on promises of a progressive agenda which included action on abortion protections and voting rights reform.
Since the Election, the Governor has said he wants adult recreational use of pot legalized within the first 100 days of the session.
The Legislature is also expected to vote on legalizing sports betting, extending the statute of limitations for child molestation, establish statewide universal healthcare, reform the criminal justice system, and pass more gun control.
