Man Ticketed After Hitting Amish Buggy And Killing Horse

Town of Newport -  State Police say that they have written tickets for the Dolgeville man that slammed his SUV into an Amish buggy Wednesday Morning in Newport.

Troopers say that Jason Dager was driving his Chevy Traverse and hit the horse and buggy.

The buggy driver wasn't hurt -- but the horse needed to be euthanized because of it's severe leg injuries.

Dager was ticketed for leaving the scene of the crash, not having insurance, and three other violations involving the death of the horse.
