Former Newschannel 9 Personality Picked As New County Legislator

Skaneateles, N.Y. -  Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon has appointed Julie Abbott-Kenan to the legislature's open 6th district seat.  McMahon made the announcement this afternoon at the Syracuse Water Treatment Plant in Skaneateles. 

Abbott-Kenan will represent the towns of Skaneateles, Spafford, Otisco and Marcellus, as well as parts of the Town and Village of Camillus. 

Abbott-Kenan is currently the Vice President of the Skaneateles School Board and is a member of the Strategic Planning, Communications, Wellness, and Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Committees.

Many know Abott-Kenan as a Television Producer, News Anchor, and Talk Show Host for Syracuse ABC Affiliate WSYR NewsChannel 9.
