Pompey, N.Y. - One person is dead and another is seriously hurt following a crash in Pompey.
Deputies say it happened just after 7-30 last night on Sweet Road -- between Gates and Sevier Roads.
Investigators say a pickup truck slammed into the back of a combine farm truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, 58-year-old William Miner of LaFayette, was killed in the collision. Miner’s passenger, a 14-year-old female, was critically injured in the crash.
The operator of the farm equipment was not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
