Governor Cuomo's 100 Day Plan Includes Legalization Of Pot

Manhattan, N.Y. - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is vowing to overhaul the MTA and legalize recreational marijuana for adults while promising to keep opposing President Trump's agenda in 2019.

Cuomo laid out his plans for the first 100 days of the coming year and touted past achievements of his administration.

Much of his speech was criticism at President Trump, blasting him for not investing in New York infrastructure, and accusing him of advancing hateful and racist rhetoric.

Cuomo detailed upwards of 20 policies he plans to pursue in the first few months of 2019, including an expansion of gun control, women's rights, and protections for the LGBTQ community.

But one policy that got a round of applause was his plan to push for legalizing recreational marijuana in 2019.

"Let’s legalize the adult use of recreational marijuana, once and for all," the governor said during his speech.

Ten other states and Washington D.C. have legalized adult use of recreational marijuana.
