The Man That Ran Down A State Trooper, Has Died

Dannemora, N.Y. - A man who killed a State Trooper has died in prison.

Almond Upton, 64, was convicted for killing Trooper Christopher Skinner in 2014. He died Sunday night. He had been serving time at the Clinton Correctional Facility. His official cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Upton was serving a life sentence after he intentionally ran down and killed Skinner while he was conducting a traffic stop on 81 in Broome County.
