Syracuse, N.Y. - A Baldwinsville man who kept police at bay for almost 24 hours in October was sentenced today but it was not what he expected.
50 year old William Lamson had pleaded guilty in late November believing he'd get drug treatment and parole. But his top charge, criminal contempt is not eligible for the drug-treatment sentence.
Lamson, who was not happy, was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 3 years in prison.
Lamson's lawyer David Zukher (Zoo - Kher) says the reaction of the police was "Waco like" and unnecessary and that so much tear gas was used in the house its uninhabitable and ruined.
