Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse's Westside neighborhood losing another grocery store, second one in a year.
The Save-A-Lot store in the Geddes Street Plaza will close for good at 6 p.m. tomorrow after more than 20 years in business.
Store representatives say sales are not what they need to be. They said the opening of Price Rite and others hurt them.
The Save-A-Lot on Butternut St. will remain open and all 12 employees of the Geddes store have been offered jobs at the Butternut Street location.T
he closing comes a little more than a year after the closing of Nojaim supermarket.
