New York - Alain Kaloyeros was sentenced today to 3 1/2 years and a $100,000 fine for his part in the Buffalo Billions bid rigging corruption case. Kaloyeros was convicted of steering bids to certain contractors.
His sentence was handed down by the same judge who also sentenced his co-defendants -- Steven Aiello and Joseph Girardi.
In those cases, the Syracuse based COR Development executives were each sentenced to at least two years behind bars and a $500,0000 fine.
Kaloyeros plans to appeal.
