The first of two Syracuse Developers convicted of bribery will be sentenced today.
COR Development Executives Steven Aiello and Joseph Girardi are being sentenced on corruption charges after they were found guilty by two juries.
Prosecutors say they paid powerful and influential people in State Government in exchange for their help in getting outcomes that favored them. In one instance, Aiello and Girardi paid Joe Percoco -- Governor Cuomo's right-hand man -- to help them skirt using labor union at their hotel in Syracuse's Inner Harbor.
Gerardi will learn his fate today while Aiello will be sentenced tomorrow. Lawyers for both men say they are planning an appeal.
