Syracuse Police Identify Man Involved In Overnight Standoff

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police were involved in an overnight standoff that ended with the using of tear gas. 

Syracuse police negotiated with the individual for 6 hours before using the tear gas to end the standoff and diffuse the situation. 

As a result 29 year old  Mikhail Morgan, was charged with Attempted Assault in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree and Menacing in the 2nd degree. 

Witnesses told investigating Officers that Morgan struck a female victim in the head with the handgun earlier in the evening, and pointed the handgun at others from his apartment window.
