Washington - Senator Chuck Schumer says he wants to make it easier for parents to find the season's hottest holiday toys for their kids.
He's introduced the Stop Grinch Bots Act of 2018. The legislation calls on Congress to step in and crack down on companies who use cyber-scalpers to buy popular items then resell them for far above retail prices.
For example, a video game system that usually sells for less than 100 dollars can often be bought on sites like eBay for nearly a grand.
