Kirk Narburgh, AIA, ASLA, LEED AP BD+C | CEO/Managing Partner, King + King Architects, LLP
Kirk brings thirty years of professional experience to his position as CEO/Managing Partner. He is also an adjunct professor at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture where he has been teaching Professional Practice and Digital Technology classes every semester for the past twenty-seven years. Kirk is actively involved in the community and has been on the North Area YMCA Board the past 20 years also serving as Board Chairperson, is on the Salvation Army Advisory Board serving as vice chair for Budget/Finance & Operations, served on the Board for Francis House for ten years, is past President of the Central New York American Institute of Architects as well as President of the New York State American Institute of Architects representing the organizations over 9,100 architects. He is also active on many local committees including the Syracuse City School Districts Career Technical Education Leadership Council and volunteers his time with many community events annually.
Kirk is an alumnus of Syracuse University where he earned a Master of Architecture and Cornell University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Kirk is the partner-in-charge of education projects with both higher education and K-12 environments throughout New York State. Recent projects include the Lemoyne College Master Plan and Madden School of Business, Colgate University Residential Learning Communities Master Plan and Cooley Library Renovations, Carmelo Anthony Basketball Practice Facility at Syracuse University (LEED Certified), the SUNY Brockport New Special Events Center (LEED Gold), and multiple residence hall projects at SUNY Oneonta, Cortland, Morrisville, and Oswego. P-12 work includes active projects with the Syracuse City School District, North Syracuse and Central Square School Districts and his alma mater Albion CSD in Western NY.
