Syracuse, N.Y. - Well you would think by now...with the law against trucks on the Parkway and the installed warning device that the railroad bridge would be safe...not so.
This morning about 1am 34 year old Arslan Dovletov slammed his Kenworth TT into the bridge failing to obey the numerous restriction signs. The bridge won, causing a lot of damage to the truck. Traffic was reduced to one lane in each direction for a while, and at one point the parkway was closed off to traffic entirely.
The road was opened again around 4am.
The driver and his passenger both from Brooklyn were not injured. The driver was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device.
