Palermo, N.Y. - A woman is in a Syracuse Hospital today after her car went into Russ pond in Palermo.
The woman who has not been identified lost control of car on Rt. 4, near Winks Rd, hit telephone pole and landed upside down in the pond.
The accident happened around 7am.
Palermo firefighters say the woman was trapped inside her car, which was partially underwater for 15 minutes before crews were able to pry her out.
She was sent to a Syracuse hospital with hypothermia. Her condition at this time is unknown.
