Utica Man Not Wearing A Seatbelt Killed In Weekend Accident

Syracuse, N.Y. -  State Police in Marcy are  investigating a fatal rollover crash that occurred Saturday on State Route 365 in the city of Rome, Oneida County. 

Just before midnight Troopers responded to a one vehicle rollover on State Route 365 near the State Route 26 exit ramp in the city of Rome. The investigation revealed that a 24 year old Todd Cozza, from Utica, NY was traveling east in a pickup when he lost control of the vehicle, left the road striking the guardrail, and rolling over several. Cozza was transported by ambulance to St Elizabeth's hospital where he later died. 

A 27-year-old passenger in the vehicle was uninjured in the crash.

Troopers believe that Cozza was not wearing a seatbelt prior to the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
