The road to the Democrats taking over the House of Representatives came straight through Central New York.
New York State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi declared victory Tuesday night while Claudia Tenney was slow to give her concession speech.
"We'd like to thank the voters of this district, our supporters, and volunteers for their hard work and dedication throughout this campaign," says said Tenneys campaign manager Raychel Renna. "With over ten thousand absentee ballots left to count, this race is still too close to call. Over the next few days and weeks, our team will participate in the re-canvass process and review the absentee ballots.”
Brindisi is maintaining a 1,422 vote lead over Tenney.
