North Syracuse Superintendent Resigns Effective June 2019

Syracuse, N.Y - North Syracuse School Superintendent Annette Speach has announced she will retire at the end of June.  Speach had a 34-year career with the district, the last five as its head.

Speach announced her retirement plan during a superintendent's conference day address to district staff on Tuesday.

North Syracuse Central School District Board of Education President Michael Shusda said the board will formally accept her resignation at its Nov. 19 meeting.

He said the board will meet soon to plan a search for a new superintendent.

Speach has served as superintendent since December 2013. She also served as interim superintendent from July of 2013 until her permanent appointment.
