Syracuse, N.Y. - The teenager who took off after hitting and killing a two-year-old year old in Syracuse on Memorial Day Weekend in 2017 has been sentenced.
Felix Santos hit and killed two-year-old Jameisha Stanford on Shonnard Street when he was 17 years old. Stanford's younger brother and father were also injured in the crash. Santos was eventually found in North Carolina and brought back to Syracuse.
He plead guilty earlier this month. In court documents Santos was driving with a learners permit, drinking alcohol and going 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Santos was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in prison.
